Biographical Information

Pack 82 was chartered in 1965 by Trinity United Methodist Church in LaGrangeville, NY.

Cub Scout Pack 82 is one of the longest running packs in Dutchess County, and gives boys in the LaGrangeville area programs of fun and adventure, sportsmanship & fitness, citizenship and achievement. Cub Scout Pack 82 is a Quality Unit of the Hudson Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Pack 82 typically meets once a month, at the Vail Farm Elementary School. The meetings are held the 3rd Friday of the month at 7:00 pm. Each month features a new theme and includes guest speakers, arts & crafts, sporting events, and a host of other activities.  The Scouts learn about the world, the community, science, nature, citizenship, and other valuable experiences.  

 Parents, leaders and pack members help the boys with their rank achievements and activities.  Family members are also encouraged to participate and help our Den & Pack Leaders with the programs we provide. Pack events give Scouts the opportunity to explore new ideas and skills with other members of the pack. Some of Pack 82’s recent events include:

• Annual Pinewood Derby Races
• Overnight stay on the Battleship USS Massachusetts
• Scout Night at Hudson Valley Renegades
• Overnight stay at Norwalk Aquarium
• Overnight stay at Liberty Science Center 
• Community service activities
• Special day trips (hiking, fishing, museums, nature centers, sporting events, etc.)
• Annual Summer Family campouts
• Annual Pop Corn Fundraiser
• Annual Unionvale Community Day American Flag Retirement Ceremony
• Annual Memorial Day Parade Pouquag, NY
